Renewing and Searching in Voyager

Voyager is the library catalog - a database that lists the contents of the library's collection. Every item owned by the library has a record in Voyager. The AiS collection includes over 30,000 items, all of which support AiS courses and programs.

Renew Online

1. Open the Voyager catalog.

  1. 2. Choose the My Account tab, or Log In at the top right corner..
  2. 3. Select BARCODE from the dropdown list.
  3. 4. Enter your library barcode number in the ID field. This is the number on the back of your ID that begins with 22016... Type your last name in the second field
  4. 5. Select the My Account tab to see a list of items checked out.
  5. 6. Select the item(s) you would like to renew and click Request Renewal.
  6. Voila!

Simple Search

The Simple Search screen is the default search screen.

You may specify one of several different search terms, such as title, author, or subject. The default, All Fields, will search all of these.

If you're searching for a specific title, type the first few words in the Search: box and select Title from the within: box. If you know the author's name, type it in, then select Author.

Search Results

Your search will return a list of titles. Below each title is the item's location in the library, plus the call number. Also, the item's availability status is displayed. If the item is in, you will be able to find it on the library shelves, which are arranged in call number order.

Clicking on the linked title will take you to the Holdings information.

Holdings Information

Clicking the linked title to get to the holdings information is useful if the location information says Title Has Multiple Holdings. This means that there is more than one copy of the item; the Holdings page will tell you where each copy is located, and whether or not it's available.
