GENERAL RULES FOR STUDENTS

*Current student ID card required to use library*

TEXTBOOKS: 4 hour checkout, in library use only
BOOKS, CD-ROMS, ANNUAL REPORTS: 2 week checkout
MAGAZINES: 7 day checkout, or in library use for display magazines
LAB MANUALS: 3 day checkout
SOUND EFFECTS CDs: 1 day checkout
REFERENCE, READY REFERENCE, DIRECTORIES: In library use only
VIDEOS: 3 day checkout
SLIDES: Faculty use only (1 week checkout)
SOFTWARE: Faculty use only (1 day checkout)

RENEWAL: You can renew any item for 1 additional loan period only, after which it must be returned. Please renew your books either in person or by telephone (206) 239-2359.

OVERDUE FINES: $0.10/day for most books and magazines $2.00 /day for lab manuals; $1.00/day for reference items and videos. No exceptions.

DAMAGED/LOST ITEMS: $50.00 per book, CD, etc. $6.00 per magazine.

FOOD AND DRINK: Please do not bring food or drink into the library. Although this is something we cannot regulate constantly, we encourage cooperative awareness and due diligence in the preservation of library resources and technologies.

NOISE: The library encourages individual and group work, as well as other forms of both educational and creative pursuits. We do not regulate noise levels; but do discourage cell phone use and other unnecessary noises. Please try to keep your efforts to a reasonable volume in the interest of others. If someone is disturbing you, kindly let them know or move to a quieter area.
